No Blank Slates.
Every space gives us something to start with.
The architecture. The light. What’s already there. How the space is used. What you’re drawn to. And what you want it to become.
We never arrive with the answer already decided.
A home comes with people, possessions, routines and tastes.
A restaurant has a brand, a customer and an experience to create.
A property has a market, a buyer and its own strengths to reveal.
We start by looking at all of it.
Then we decide what stays, what changes and what comes next.
Homes. Hospitality. Workplaces. Retail.

Because good design doesn’t need a blank slate. It needs the right starting point.
The Designer Behind Siya Designs
Welcome to Siya Designs. I’m Ramya, the designer and founder behind the studio.
Growing up in India and living in different parts of the world exposed me to different ways of living, and to colour, materials, art and architecture in all their forms.
It started with an online interior design course I took while renovating my own home. That led to working closely with the architect and builder on the project, and somewhere along the way, I realised that what had always been an interest could become a career. I went on to train formally at KLC School of Design. I now work professionally at an architecture and design firm in London, alongside running Siya Designs as an independent interior designer.
These experiences shaped how I approach my projects. I don’t arrive with a signature look or a ready-made answer. I start by understanding what’s already there, how the space is used, what the people using it are drawn to and importantly, what needs to happen within it.
Sometimes that means working with what exists. Sometimes it means changing almost everything.
Either way, the starting point is never a blank slate.
Because ultimately, I’m not designing a room simply to look a certain way. I’m designing for everything that will happen inside it.
